Adithya Puthraya

Adithya Puthraya  is a dedicated young percussionist carrying forward the rich tradition of Carnatic talavadya with passion and discipline.

Born to Sri Anantha Krishna and Smt. Shailaja, Adithya completed his primary and higher primary education at St. Francis English Medium School, Mudarangady. He pursued high school and pre-university studies at the prestigious Canara Institutions, followed by a B.Sc. in Microbiology from St. Aloysius College, Mangalore.

Adithya’s musical journey began during his higher primary years when he enrolled in Carnatic classical vocal classes under the guidance of Smt. Veena Sathish. Upon moving to Mangalore for high school, he discovered his true calling in rhythm and chose Mridangam as his primary instrument.

He successfully completed the Junior level in Carnatic talavadya under Sri Vidwan Krishnaraja Nandalike and is currently pursuing the Senior level under the esteemed tutelage of Karnataka Kalashree Vidwan Mysore M. Gururaj at Vamana Academy of Music.

With a strong foundation in both academics and arts, Adithya represents the new generation of talented artists blending technical precision with heartfelt devotion to Carnatic percussion.
